Frequently Asked Questions
WHere can I find your priceS?
Please go to my booking website here. There are discounts available for visit packages once evaluation is done.
What should I wear to my first visit?
Wear something comfortable that you can move in. Something that you can easily change into or out of tends to work best.
What Will My First VIsit Entail?
Even bowel, bladder, pelvic, and sexual function concerns are tied to your whole body.
After discussing any questions I may have on your intake paperwork, we take a thorough whole-body assessment to determine what systems are working well and what things may be contributing to your current symptoms/concerns. We will take a look at strength, mobility, coordination, posture, breathing, lifestyle habits, and how you move to see if there are any larger themes that may be contributing to your concerns. There might be an assessment of your trunk, legs, arms, and an exam of the outside of the pelvic area. With your consent, there may be an internal exam component in a laying down or standing position if indicated. As a pelvic floor therapist trained in internal examinations, I am assessing for several things: abnormalities in the tissue, your ability to control (squeeze and relax) different parts, and whether there is any pain or discomfort present.
As I perform the exam I will note how your anatomy may be contributing to your symptoms which is often a really empowering experience for people.
Afterwards, I will create a game plan/plan of care to address the goals we discussed in your intake appointment.Remember: The plan is for YOU. Please speak up if any parts of it are confusing or don't seem possible with your current situation.
Do you Take insurance? What about FSA/HSA?
Please note that I am an out-of-network provider and do not bill insurance directly. However, I am able to provide superbills for you to submit to your insurance company in attempt to get reimbursement. Unfortunately, in no way am I responsible whether the insurance company actually reimburses you or not. However, you can DEFINITELY use your FSA/HSA card since my booking/payment platform accepts that as payment

Can I bring my baby or child with me?
Yes — we understand childcare can be challenging, and babies are always welcome at your session.
What IS dry needling?
Dry needling is a therapeutic technique performed by physical therapists using a thin, sterile, single-use needle inserted into tight or sensitive areas of muscle. Despite looking similar to acupuncture needles, the purpose and approach are different: dry needling is based on anatomy and neuromuscular science, not traditional Chinese medicine. Dry needling does more than just release tight spots in your muscles — it also helps “reset” how your nerves and brain process pain and movement.
Dry needling can:
Relieve pain and muscle tightness in the hips, back, pelvic floor, and surrounding areas.
Improve mobility and flexibility by reducing restrictions.
Enhance circulation and healing in tissues stressed by injury, surgery, or childbirth.
Re-activate weak or inhibited muscles, supporting better posture and core stability.
Your brain and spinal cord release natural pain-relieving chemicals (like endorphins and serotonin) after DN
This can create a sense of overall pain relief, not just in the spot where the needle went in.
It helps your nervous system rebalance so your muscles and pelvic floor can work more normally.
Dry needling is always part of a larger plan of care — paired with movement training, breath work, and hands-on therapy to help you reach your goals more effectively.
what information do you need to provide to get a superbill?
In order to determine if you have out of network benefits/what potential reimbursement may be, please follow the following steps:
Call toll free # for customer service on the back of your insurance card and speak with a customer service provider
Ask customer service provider to quote your OUT OF NETWORK physical therapy benefits and make sure that customer service understands you are seeing a non-preferred/out of network provider as this is very important since insurance benefits change greatly for in vs out of network providers
Gather the following information:
What is your out of network deductible?
What percentage of reimbursement do they pay you AFTER your deductible has been met?
Does you policy require a written prescription from your primary care physician?
Does your policy require a pre-authorization for outpatient physical therapy?
if yes, what forms/actions do you need to take to receive pre-authorization?
Is there a dollar amount OR visit limit per year?
How far in the past can claims be submitted?
Does your insurance company require a special form to be filled out to submit the claim or will the receipt be sufficient?
How do you submit the claims for reimbursement?
Do they cover the following procedure/CPT codes
97161, 97162, or 97163?
97140
97112
97110
97530
97535
If they do cover the above codes do they allow for billing of multiples of the same code in the same visit? Also please ask if they can tell you how much the insurance company considers “reasonable and customary” for each code as this is typically what the insurance company will reimburse you once your out of network deductible has been met
